Demon King (Open)

"Um...." His face was incredibly red. He nods, gulping.

Holly froze several blocks down after hearing an explosion. She spread her wings and hurried home, not wanting to meet up with any threats that could wipe her out. Although, she could probably give them a run for their money.

Time skip~
Chance had stayed up all night, alert to the sounds of the city, just sitting on the edge of a tall building. at dawns first light he kicked off, a unfurling his wings to fly away, soaring over the cit. he didn't hide his presence. after all, if he could trick people into traps and take them out, it would be easier. to do that, he has to give them bait. almost unconsciously he began to sing softly, his words drifted across the wind around him.
"Demon king, take me away~ demon king, fight me today~ demon king scare me away~ demon king fight me anyway~"

Holly was sleeping in the bed that Sora had let her use. Her hair was a red, tangled mess and there was a nice sized drool-pool on her pillow. An alarm went off that scared her and knocked her out of bed, wings unfurled.

"HOLY HEAVEN!" she yelled as she fell. She stood up, rubbing her sore rear and squinted at the clock. It was noon. "Okay, seriously? Ugh!" She quickly changed into different clothes and rushed outside, calling a quick goodbye into Sora's room. She grinned a little to herself. They must have had a great time.

Holly was going to a kick-boxing gym when she found herself standing outside of the little cafe from the night before. "How strange..." She just stood there, hands in her pockets, looking up at the shop.

most people wouldn't notice, but area still bore signs of the fight. there were subtle black marks across the asphalt, the window glass warped a bit from exposure to heat, a few small splinters of wood on the doors threshold. there was also magic residue sort of diffused through the area, blotches of both the hell-fire, and the shadow magic. As she stood there, Joel was wiping down the counter and glanced up, before calling softly to the back room.
"boss, the chick from yesterdays back."
"thanks Joel, you can stay around if you want. she can't try something at this time of day, not easily anyway."
Chance was back their, grinding some fresh roasted coffee, he was wearing an orange t-shirt, and blue jeans. his shaggy dark hair tucked under a beanie.

Holly hesitated before opening the door.

"Hi!" she cheerfully called out. "How are you today?" She began pulling out a few one dollar bills from her pocket.

Chizu walks from the room still a bit asleep and walks into the kitchen. She began making breakfast, she heard Holly return home and leave this morning. Only if she had stayed for breakfast. Chizu fixed her kimono and finished breakfast. She sent it on the table and knocked on the bedroom door, she opened it slowly and called out to Sora, "Dear its time to get up and eat."

Joel smiled calmly back to the redhead
"I'm doing okay ms. Angelwings." He grinned. Letting her know he knew what sshe is.
"And you?"

Holly glanced up at Joel while slowly taking out the last bill. So that Nephillium guy had told about her being an Angel. She returned the smile to her face.

"I'll just have a large mocha frappacino please~" She completely ignored the fact that he called her 'Ms. Angelwings', even though it was kind of a cute name.

"wipped cream on top?"
joel began to assemble the mocha.

Chance stepped out of the back,streaks of brown powder up his arms and covering his hands. his shirt was also covered with a bit of the coffee dust.
"coffees ground. Joel, you wanna start packing it up for the next few weeks?"
as he moved to the counter the smell of fresh coffee grew stronger.

Sora turns in his sleep a bit, not waking up. He was having a very important dream conversation.
~Dream~
Ryuu, Sora's demon form, stands in front of him. He glares down at his human form.
"Angels are joining the DEMON King tournament. What has this world come to?"

Holly grinned and nodded at the subject of whipped cream. Then she saw Chance come from the back, the strong smell of coffee floating to her nose. She tucked a strand of her red hair behind her ear and fidgeted with her button-up shirt.

"Hey again, um, Chance? Is that right? I'm never that great with names, heh~"

Chance grinned and finished her coffee, handing it over.
"yep, names Chance. also, I didn't tell Joel what you were. he figured it out on his own."

"Well I don't care, I guess, as long as you guys don't try to kill me, heh heh..." She took the coffee, and went and sat at a table, pulling out a seemingly normal laptop, which was actually her only means of communication to Heaven. You would have thought they would have upgraded her section by now.

Chance grinned wider.
"trust me, if i was going to kill you, it would have been a much more aggressive action, and Joel knows better then to start fights."
Chance wiped down the counter, after washing the coffee off his arms.
"hmm...."

"Nyeh" She waved her hand, typing up a progress report for the Man.

Arsuna made a grand entrence. "Oh Chance! I found a great cocoa farm! It is so more natural that other farm-" Arsuna stopped dead in her tracks when she felt an awfully pure presence. She ran up to Chance and ran into the back to get dressed for work.

As arsuna entered the back room, Chance realized the store was a bit unruly.
"hmmm..."
With simple snap, the entire cafe around them seemed to shred apart, fracturing and shattering, all of it flowing through the air in a complex motion, before with a start, it all reformed and undid the damage, the full, undamaged furniture reforming, lined up perfectly through the room, the floors spotless.
"ta da."
the entire act, he let no power show from him. in fact, he was a void of power, invisible on the magical spectrum.

Holly glanced up during the whole ordeal, mostly because she sneezed and looked for a napkin to wipe her nose, and finishing up her report and closing the laptop, taking a sip from her cup.

Chance checked the bandage on his hand, making sure it was tight.
"hmm, nice and clean."
he nodded, proud the area was now clean.

She came out of the back with her apron on and in her uniform. She just stood there smiling. She wasn't too sure to do.

Holly felt the girls presence for the first time since she entered. This was a Class-B offender, almost a Class-A. She waved a little cautiously at her.

She waved. She wanted to be as sweet and humbling as humanly possible.

Chance mentally reviewed the ways angels were suppose to act and what they enforced. sipping a cup of coffee slowly.



a shadowy figure stepped out of a door at the graveyard 5 miloes away, wearing a pale mask and a long black trench coat.
"13 deaders on the list. better get started."

Holly, with nothing else to really do other than stare at the half demon and the full on demon, invited them both over to her table.

"You guys can come sit with me! If you aren't too terribly busy..." There was literally no one else in the cafe that wasn't her or an employee.
